We meet at a place that I can dress up a little; an exhibit at a museum allows me the freedom of wearing a flowy, sheer dress just above the knee with thigh-highs and a sexy pair of pumps. I'm petite so any height I can add makes me happy. Our fingers tangle as we walk among the art, talking about interests and hobbies. We both have healthy appetites, so we go to lunch/dinner afterwords. The conversation flows naturally between us and silences are companionable not awkward. One thing I've always wanted to try is rock climbing. I've tried my hand at what county fairs and seasonal festivals had to offer in the climbing field, but I've never attempted actual rock climbing.
It's not just the physical act of pulling myself up or gripping strong holds with my fingers, my mind sees it as a symbol of obtaining security and trusting the rock to hold me. I am content that though I am strong, the rock is stronger; when I top the mountain it is because the rock is a stable strength beneath me. Dear God, why haven't I done this already?!
